Cape Greko VOC monitoring from Middle East
Prof Efstratios Bourtsoukidis, PhD student Emeric Germain and technical expert Mr Pierre-Yves Quehe have relocated a Picarro (greenhouse gases) and Gas Chromatography (non-methane hydrocarbons) instruments in a mobile station at Capo Greko, on Cyprus east coast.
The location provides the opportunity to measure air pollution transported from the Middle East. The measurements will allow CAO scientists to identify emissions from fossil fuel extraction and burning in the region.
